Must perform online OSHA and HIPAA training and obtain certification every 12 months from hire date. High School diploma or Bachelor’s Degree.Organizational skills required to maintain clean, orderly and stocked exam and procedure rooms, and transport and track injectable drugs.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both in writing and verbally. This includes maximizing patient flow, charting/documenting and coding appropriately, and being able to perform tests and assist with in-office procedures. This individual provides good judgement in the coordination of all practice activities that contribute to the successful performance of this role. The ophthalmic technician is responsible for proper documentation, caring patient interaction and the overall success of the clinic flow.
